IMG_5876Recipe adapted from Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice 

Ingredients (makes 12 muffins)

 – 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) butter
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
– 2 eggs
– 1/2 cup (4 ounces) milk
– 2 cups (8 1/2 ounces) white whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour (spoon into cup then level off)
– 2 cups (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
– coarse sparkling sugar, for topping

食材 (可做 12个马芬)

半杯(或8大匙)黄油
1杯白砂糖
2小匙泡打粉
1/2小匙盐
1小匙香草精
1/2小匙肉桂粉
2颗鸡蛋
1/2杯(或盎司)牛奶
2杯(或 8 1/2盎司)白全麦粉或普通面粉 (用勺子勺入量杯后再刮平)
2杯(或 12盎司)微甜烘焙巧克力豆
粗糖 (顶部收尾用)

Directions/做法

IMG_5874– Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 12 cup muffin pan or line with paper liners
烤箱预热至350华氏度。马芬烤盘涮上少许黄油或铺上纸杯

– In a large mixing bowl beat the butter, sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon until fluffy. Beat in eggs, then stir in the milk. Mix in the flour just until combined, then the chocolate chips
在大的容器中将软化黄油,糖,泡打粉,盐,香草精和肉桂粉打发至蓬松。打入鸡蛋后,加入牛奶。拌入面粉至均匀。最后加入巧克力豆

– Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Sprinkle with a little coarse sugar. Bake the muffins for 30 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center of one comes out without crumbs clinging to it (a little chocolate is OK!)
将面糊平均倒入12个纸杯内。顶部撒上少许粗糖,送入烤箱烤30分钟或直到插入马芬中的牙签干净为止 (如有一点融化巧克力也没问题的)

Personal notes/温馨小贴士:

IMG_5873– i used 84g of sugar and i thought the sweetness came out just nice (especially when the chocolate chips further lends sweetness)
我用了84颗糖已觉得足够了 (因为此食谱中还用上不少的巧克力豆)

– i used 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and used demarara sugar to sprinkle on the top
我将肉桂粉减半 至1/4 小匙,并用了德麦拉拉蔗糖收尾
