i like to bake/make everything myself if at all possible… and as i revisit the things i enjoy snacking on, i remember either the Koala or Hello Panda cookies being one of them… i cannot remember where i got this recipe from but i must have written this very long ago and chucked it in a pile of recycled paper…. anyway, to the contributor, apologies, i cannot remember your identity (。┰ω┰。)
Ingredients (please click here for weight conversion)
1 cup of all purpose flour
1/8 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/3 cup soy milk
1/4 cup butter (melted)
1 egg white for glazing cookies
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ~ melted and refrigerated (till slightly hardened)

豆浆 1/3杯
融化（冷却）黄油 1/4杯
蛋白 （用于刷曲奇）
苦甜巧克力豆 1/4杯 ～ 融化软后冷藏至稍有硬度即可
Directions/方法
– mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl
干性类食材混合一起
– pour cooled, melted butter and soy milk into dry ingredients and mix till you get a soft dough
倒入融化黄油和豆浆。搅拌至成团
– roll dough out to a 1/4 cm thickness and use a 2 inch cookie cutter to cut out round shapes- drop a tsp of melted chocolate onto each dough and wrap
将面团擀至四分之一厘米厚度，用一个2寸圆形曲奇模具切裁出一片片的圆面皮 ～ 面皮中勺入一小匙融化巧克力。收口封紧
– brush with egg white and bake in preheated oven of 150 degrees C for 35 mins
刷上蛋白液，送入预热至150摄氏度烤箱烤 35分钟
– paint panda onto cookies using food colouring with a toothpick and let dry
牙签点上色素，在烤熟的曲奇画上熊猫脸即可

– i made 24 cookies with the dough

– 35 mins was too long a baking time .. i will reduce to 25 mins for my oven in the future as some of my cookies turned out slightly browned
35分钟有点偏长，我的曲奇都变褐色啦 ~_~; 下回会将烘焙时间减至25分钟
– i mixed 2 drops of coffee coloured food colouring with a drop of water to paint the expressions
我用了2滴咖啡色素，混合了一点水来画熊猫脸
These are really easy to make… the only thing that takes time is probably the painting.. it took me an hour to paint all the cookies o(╥﹏╥)o
曲奇是挺简单滴。。。就是在绘画上，有点费事。。 用了偶一小时画了24颗曲奇饼

I know this is a stupid question, but do you measure you butter before or after you melt it?
hello emma, it\’s not a stupid question. in fact, is a very good one :). different people do it differently as melted butter has lesser volume than solid butter. so some may melt butter first, then measure out what\’s required. on the other hand, some may just measure butter first, and then melt. there will be a slight difference from what the recipe calls for but that will not have considerable impact on the end result.
however, if a recipe says \”1/2 cup butter, melted\” or if it is phrased along this angle, it means you are to FIRST measure the butter (when solid), and then melt it.
